Certified Surgical Technologist

 A strong interest in surgical procedures and an absolute passion for helping others led Rachel to pursue a career as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). After completing her Associates of Arts Degree from Lake Superior College, she went on to obtain her Associates of Applied Science – Surgical Technology Degree from Anoka Technical College. Rachel couldn’t be happier with her career choice as it allows her to connect with and help others every day!

As a CST, Rachel plays an integral role in caring for our patients. After working in the expansive field of cardiovascular surgery at the beginning of her career, she now appreciates the smaller, more intimate size of Edina Plastic Surgery and the family-like culture we have created. Rachel believes this atmosphere of caring, positivity, and warmth transcends into the way we care for our patients, and she is proud to work with a team that values and respects their patients in this manner.

Rachel is highly organized and detail-oriented both at work and in her home life. Although she is a perfectionist, she also has an upbeat, friendly, and calming nature that she loves sharing with our patients. It’s important to her that patients feel relaxed, comfortable, and exceptionally cared for during their time with us.

When not assisting with surgeries at work, you can find Rachel spending time in northern Minnesota at her family cabin or enjoying a great book. She is also an avid fan of live music and hockey. Go Wild! Rachel’s life mantra is “expect nothing, appreciate everything.”
