Olivia is a dedicated peri-operative nurse at Edina Plastic Surgery who brings an exceptional blend of clinical skill, empathy, and purpose-driven care to every patient interaction. Her journey into nursing began not in a classroom, but through a deeply meaningful experience that shaped how she views care, service, and human connection.
As a teenager, Olivia participated in a mission trip to Haiti, where she witnessed nurses who had uprooted their entire lives to care for people they had never met, offering compassion, dignity, and unwavering commitment in challenging circumstances. Seeing the fulfillment and purpose these nurses found through selfless service left a lasting impression and sparked her desire to pursue a career devoted to caring for others. That experience continues to influence how Olivia approaches nursing today; with humility, kindness, and a strong sense of responsibility to every patient she serves.
Olivia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, along with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences, from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. She holds advanced certifications including ACLS, PALS, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), underscoring her commitment to patient safety and continued professional growth.
She began practicing as a registered nurse in August 2023 in the Emergency Department at Sanford in Fargo, North Dakota, the state’s only Level I Trauma Center, where she cared for patients from across Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. Working in a high-acuity environment allowed Olivia to build confidence in her clinical skills, strengthen her critical-thinking abilities, and learn how to remain calm, adaptable, and compassionate under pressure. She later worked as a triage nurse in a rural Minnesota clinic, providing evidence-based guidance and clear communication to help patients navigate the appropriate level of care.
Olivia joined Edina Plastic Surgery in December 2025 and was drawn to peri-operative nursing because of the positive, life-changing impact plastic surgery can have on patients. After years of caring for individuals during some of their most difficult moments, she finds it incredibly rewarding to now support patients on a day they have chosen—one centered on self-confidence, empowerment, and personal transformation.
Known for her warmth, attention to detail, and calm presence, Olivia believes strongly in treating every patient like family. This philosophy was reinforced through personal experiences with her own family and continues to guide the way she provides care, ensuring patients feel supported, respected, and truly seen throughout their surgical journey. Her goal is for every patient to feel confident in their body, proud of what it has carried them through, and reassured that they received thoughtful education and exceptional care to support optimal recovery.
Outside of work, Olivia cherishes time with her husband and young son, whether that means relaxing at home, spending time at the lake with family, or winding down with a good book.
