Jill D.

Perioperative Nurse

Jill is an incredible asset to our team and brings almost four decades of nursing experience and knowledge to Edina Plastic Surgery. She earned her Registered Nurse credentials from Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in 1987 and later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Drake University. Jill’s career has spanned through various specialties, including 33 years working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and six years as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurse. As one of our Perioperative Nurses, Jill ensures that our patients receive excellent care once their surgery has been completed.

What Jill values most about working with Edina Plastic Surgery is the shared commitment amongst our entire team to provide a positive, seamless experience for our patients that stresses personalized care. She loves how her co-workers not only care deeply for our patients, but also one another. Jill believes this warm, tight-knit family dynamic makes our team stronger and allows us to extend a higher and more compassionate level of care to our patients.

Jill was initially drawn to nursing because of the great diversity in job options and the tremendous opportunities for growth. She has enjoyed these benefits her entire career yet never counted on learning so much from her actual patients! Jill feels inspired to have worked with so many people who have had the courage to transform their lives and improve the way they feel about their appearance through plastic surgery.

Outside of work, you may find Jill working in her garden, cooking dinner for family and friends, or traveling to the next destination on her bucket list. She is married to her high school sweetheart. Together, they have raised four children they adore and have loved seeing their family grow with the addition of two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter!
