Surgery Coordinator

Iris has always been passionate about the field of surgery, and her extensive professional background reflects it! She brings almost two decades of experience and knowledge to her role as a Surgery Coordinator at Edina Plastic Surgery. Iris’s diverse career history has exposed her to various medical specialties, including working in a family birth center, surgery centers, anesthesia recovery, and plastic surgery. She loves drawing from this wealth of experience to connect with patients and ensure they receive the best care possible during their journey with us.

Like so many of her co-workers, Iris is inspired by the ability of plastic surgery to help patients feel more confident in their appearance. She sincerely believes that our industry has the power to transform patients’ lives and that it is a privilege to be a part of that process. Whether a patient is having a procedure to address a medical concern or enhance their appearance, Iris is awed by plastic surgery’s power to improve a patient’s quality of life and elevate their self-esteem.

Connection is vital to Iris. Her patient care philosophy centers around the belief that every patient deserves to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin and should be shown compassion and respect. She is a fluent Spanish speaker, which allows her to bridge the communication gap that sometimes exists in other clinics and ensure that our patients feel fully educated and excited about their upcoming procedure!

Iris loves being a part of the Edina Plastic Surgery team because of the collective passion our surgeons and staff show on a daily basis to exceed our patient’s expectations. She appreciates the family-like culture amongst her co-workers and how that warmth and kindness extends to our patients. Iris feels honored to play a role in our patient’s journeys to looking and feeling like the best version of themselves.

When not at work, Iris enjoys exploring with her children outdoors. She is the loving mother of three amazing kids and loves sharing new experiences with them and watching them grow. Iris is also an avid gardener and relishes time spent with friends and family, especially while trying out new restaurants in the Twin Cities!
