Ryann A.

Perioperative Nurse

Ryann Anderson, BSN, RN brings over 11 years of nursing experience and a deep-rooted passion for compassionate, individualized patient care to her role as a Perioperative Nurse at Edina Plastic Surgery. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in 2014 and began her career in Pediatrics and Women’s Health before transitioning into Labor and Delivery, where she spent the next eight years supporting women through some of the most meaningful and impactful moments of their lives. Ryann has been driven by a desire to serve and advocate for others her entire life, and it is evident in who she is and how she approaches her professional life.

From early in her nursing career, Ryann recognized the powerful impact that confidence and self-perception have on a person’s overall well-being. This insight is what initially drew her to the field of plastic surgery, a specialty that allows her to combine her love of science and aesthetics with her dedication to patient care. She believes plastic surgery has the power to completely transform lives by elevating a patient’s confidence and helping them feel like the best version of themselves.

Ryann joined the Edina Plastic Surgery team in April 2025 after serving as a Labor and Delivery RN at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. She was immediately drawn to our emphasis on teamwork, open communication, and evidence-based practice. She is inspired by the collaborative environment, where surgeons and nurses work side by side to deliver exceptional care and continuously support one another. The clinic’s commitment to safety, professionalism, and a positive work culture is what makes Ryann proud to be a part of the team.

Patients appreciate Ryann’s kind and approachable demeanor, as well as the time she takes to truly connect with them. She is known for greeting everyone with a warm smile and tailoring her care to meet the specific needs of each individual. Her strengths lie in her critical thinking, clear communication, and ability to empathize deeply with patients during their surgical journey. She strives to ensure that every patient feels supported, respected, and listened to—like they are being cared for by a family member.

Outside of the operating room, Ryann’s life is filled with joy and activity thanks to her two young children, Andie and Archer, who are the lights of her life. On her days off, she can be found adventuring with them, enjoying pool time, boating at the lake, visiting local wineries, or soaking in live music on sunny patios. She also enjoys listening to podcasts and spending time with her beloved rescue pets—Monkey the cat and Marlowe the dog—both of whom are as cuddly as they are sweet!

Ryann’s personal and professional philosophy is rooted in presence, positivity, and purpose. She lives by the mantra: “The good times go way too fast—stay present and enjoy the moment,” a reminder she carries into her work every day as she helps patients feel seen, heard, and confident in their care.
