The gold standard in accreditation: AAAASF
Edina Plastic Surgery is accredited by The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF), an organization that measures quality in outpatient facilities. AAAASF sets the bar for standards in outpatient surgery and requires surgeons to be board certified, in addition to holding hospital privileges for any procedures performed.
The organization requires that anesthesia professionals are onsite for deeper levels of anesthesia, and that the surgery environment meet stringent safety standards. Data tracking for individual cases is also an important function of the organization.
Outpatient Surgery Center
Edina Plastic Surgery of Minneapolis provides a modern health care facility that is equipped to accommodate same-day surgical care – right here in our clinic. We have transformed the outpatient procedure experience for our patients by providing a more convenient and comfortable alternative to hospital-based outpatient procedures.
Our patients appreciate having their surgeries in the same building as other consulting visits. We are one of the first practices in the Twin Cities to offer on-site surgical services.
Complete with two state-of-the-art operating rooms and a minor procedure room, our surgical center is supported by a specially trained and dedicated medical team.
The surgical center is conveniently located on the same floor as our clinic. For those who prefer, the center can be accessed via a discreet back entrance and elevator. Your comfort, privacy and special requests are important to us and we will do everything to provide a high quality experience.
Our physicians are affiliated with accredited hospitals, including nearby Fairview Southdale Hospital, for procedures that would be best accommodated in a hospital setting.
