Lucy N.

Certified Surgical Technologist

Lucy’s intense interest in the world of surgery began very early in life. After taking an anatomy and physiology class in high school, she became intrigued by how surgical intervention could both improve a patient’s well-being and dramatically change their lives by enhancing their self-confidence and esteem. Needless to say, plastic surgery is the perfect field for Lucy!

After graduating from the Surgical Technology program at Rochester Community and Technical College, Lucy was able to earn an internship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. During her time at Mayo, Lucy gained incredible clinical experience, which deepened her passion and resolve to help and care for others.

As a Surgical Technologist at Edina Plastic Surgery, Lucy’s role involves preparing the operating room before each procedure, assisting our surgeons, and anticipating their needs during each surgery while maintaining a safe, sterile environment for the patient. But those are just the technical aspects of her job. Lucy takes her position even further by going the extra mile for each patient to ensure they feel like her number one priority! She prides herself on being a warm, compassionate, comforting, and positive influence on each patient she works with.

Like her co-workers at Edina Plastic Surgery, Lucy firmly believes in treating each patient that enters the operating room like family. She never loses sight of the fact that every patient we care for has a personal story and people at home who love them. That’s why it’s imperative to treat patients with the same level of care and dedication that we would invest in our own family members.

One of the reasons Lucy is so excited to work at Edina Plastic Surgery is the tight-knit family dynamic among the staff. After working in large, expansive clinics with countless surgeons and specialties, she appreciates the warmth and intimacy of a smaller environment and sees what a tremendous value this is to our patients. Lucy also respects how her co-workers are incredibly knowledgeable and motivated to provide the highest standard of care to our patients.

Lucy loves to travel and create new memories with her family and friends when outside of work. She is an avid volleyball fan and often spends her weekends playing recreationally. Lucy also adores dogs and has been an active volunteer at her local shelter and hopes to adopt a rescue dog in the future!
