Tummy Tuck
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, is a major surgical procedure.  It removes excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and tightens the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen.  It does produce a permanent scar, which, depending on the extent of the original problem and the surgery required to correct it, can extend from hip to hip.
Liposuction
Liposuction, also known as lipoplasty or suction lipectomy, is a procedure that sculpts the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, upper arms, chin, cheeks and neck. During the past decade, liposuction has benefited from several refinements. Today, a number of new techniques, including ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique, are helping many plastic surgeons provide selected patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times. Although liposuction is no substitute for dieting and exercise, it can remove stubborn areas of fat that don't respond to traditional weight-loss methods.
