Minnesota winters are a great reason for plastic surgery

Plastic surgery used to mean nose jobs in New York and tummy tucks in Los Angeles. Today, plastic surgery has become as commonplace in Minneapolis as it is in South Beach, and for good reason. People who live in the “wintry” north understand what 4-6 months stuck indoors eating comfort foods can do to our bodies. While a short southern winter might require a few months of exercise, Minneapolis is perhaps the best example of a city where the people are chronically driven indoors and out of shape.

Plastic surgery isn’t for everyone. Even the minor surgeries like lip enhancement carry some risk and more pain than most people are expecting. Tummy tucks and rhinoplasty (nose jobs) require significant manipulation of sensitive parts of our bodies, and should never be taken lightly.

That said, plastic surgery is getting more and more popular all over because of the impact it can have on self-confidence. So whether you need to emerge from a Minnesota winter anew, or want to deal with a fault that has always worried you, do your research, interview doctors specializing in plastic surgery, and go in with your eyes open about the potential pain and improvement in your self-image.
